SHIPPING NOTES.

The s.s. Hymettus entered harbour yesterday morning, having arrived In Gage Roads from Calcutta and Colombo on the previous evening. She brought 230 tons of general cargo from Calcutta, and a quantity of tea from Colombo, and resumed her voyage to the Eastern States last evenlng. She had 15 passengers in transit for Melbourne Captain M. MacDonald reported continuous bad weather between Colombo and Fremantle. His brother, the commodore of the company, and captain of the ship prior to a serious accident he met with in Madras through being kicked by a horse, was still in hospital when the vessel left Calcutta but hopes to leave Madras by the next steamer of the Archibald Currie line bound to Australia.
