05.05.1908 - Arrived Melbourne, C McDonald Master. During the voyage from Calcutta, Hymettus was signaled mid-ocean by the schooner Annathoparay that she was short of water. Stopping the Hymettus, Captain McDonald supplied the wants of the schooner which was 25 days out bound from Akyab, to Jaffra The crew of the vessel stated that they had been four days without water and were therefore deeply thankful at meeting the Currie liner. |
