1906 29.01.1906 - Completed her sea trials achieving a top speed of 13 knots.
   
  Maiden voyage, under the command of Commodore - Master Capt Colin McDonald, was river Tyne-Cardiff-Colombo-Calcutta arriving at her home port of Melbourne in May.
   
  05.05.1906 - Arrived Melbourne on her delivery voyage.
   
" July - Commodore-Master Capt Colin McDonald had his leg broken in Madras attempting to stop a horse that had broken loose during unloading. It was a serious injury requiring an extended stay in a Madras hospital.

  05.05.1908 - Arrived Melbourne, C McDonald Master. During the voyage from Calcutta, Hymettus was signaled mid-ocean by the schooner Annathoparay that she was short of water. Stopping the Hymettus, Captain McDonald supplied the wants of the schooner which was 25 days out bound from Akyab, to Jaffra The crew of the vessel stated that they had been four days without water and were therefore deeply thankful at meeting the Currie liner.

1925 Sold to Harada Kisen K.K, Kobe and renamed Seiun Maru.
   
1937 28.07.1937 - Sunk in a collision with the Benmohr off Choshi Japan.
